About Us
Your trusted family solicitor, in the heart of your community
Macks Solicitors was founded in 1995, initially as specialist Personal Injury lawyers, particularly serious, life-altering accident claims and related solicitors’ negligence claims. We still have a thriving team of Personal Injury solicitors but as our reputation has grown, so has our strength and our breadth of legal services. Over the past 25 years, we’ve brought together a truly exceptional team of lawyers, support staff and business professionals who, between them, have all of the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide a truly complete legal service. Our practice has expanded to include Wills and Probate, Family Law, Employment Law, and Residential Property Law.
Our head office is located in Middlesbrough and regional offices are in Darlington, Redcar and Harrogate. Each office has its own resident solicitors offering their own legal services, although we do offer all of our services from all offices. We offer free no-obligation consultations either in person, via telephone or by video call, or can even arrange for a solicitor to visit you at home or in hospital, anywhere in the UK, should your circumstances require us to do so.
All of our Personal Injury claims are made on a no-win, no-fee basis and every year we recover hundreds of millions of pounds for our clients, with lawyers experienced in highly complex cases, recently delivering seven figure life changing settlements for our clients.
For the last 25 years, Macks has operated at the heart of our community. As a company, we have a robust Corporate Social Responsibility and donate and sponsor many different Charities both regional and national. Our teams also take part in seasonal fundraising activities. Charities we have supported in recent years are Teesside Hospice, Butterwick Hospice, South Tees Hospitals Charities, Zoe’s Place, Headway Darlington & District as well as The Middlesbrough & Philanthropic Foundation.
At Macks, we believe our people are our most important asset and we could not deliver our goals without them. Their expertise, results and focus on client care, have helped make us one of the leading law firms in the North East based on our reputation. We are one of the only North East Law Firms to be noted in Trustpilot’s “UK Top 35 Law Firms” Listing, based upon our customers’ consistent 5-star reviews. This enviable reputation has been achieved due to the expert knowledge and professionalism of our people and the life-changing outcomes they deliver for our clients. Our reputation ensures an ever-growing regional and national client base, with 85% of our clients in recent years coming from personal recommendations. We work to a strict code of conduct, are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and are members of The Law Society.
We continue to recruit, train and retain legal professionals of the highest calibre, helping to future-proof Macks Solicitors for decades to come.
